# Resource states

Use resource states to determine whether an MK.IO operation is still in progress or has reached a stable result.

## Common resource states

* `Deleting`: deleted by the user and and waiting for the deletion to be processed by the system.

* `Deleted`: deleted by the user and deletion processed by the system.
  This value will not show up because the resource being deleted means the endpoint will return 404.
