# Update profile

PATCH https://app.mk.io/api/v1/user/profile
Content-Type: application/json

This endpoint allows certain fields within the profile to be updated.

Requires authentication; no additional RBAC permissions required.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

This endpoint expects a ProfilePatchSchema_v1.

### UserProfileSpec_v1

- `activeOrganizationId` (string, required) — Currently selected organization.
- `avatar` (string, required) — Avatar.
- `contactEmail` (string, required) — Contact email address
- `features` (map from string to any, required) — Internally managed set of flags indicating access to preview or new features.
- `isActive` (boolean, required) — Is this user active?
- `loginEmail` (string, required) — Email address used for login
- `company` (string, optional) — Company.
- `country` (string, optional) — Country.
- `jobRole` (string, optional) — Job Role.
- `name` (string, optional) — Full name.
- `phoneNumber` (string, optional) — Phone number including international dialling code

### UserMetadata

- `id` (string, required) — The unique identifier of the user.

### ErrorDetail

- `code` (string, required) — The error code.
- `detail` (string, required) — The error message.
- `extraDetail` (map from string to any, optional) — Extra information regarding this error.
